Yoga in Sewickley is an open, warm and friendly studio. Yoga is practiced as it was meant to be: mindfully, meeting individuals' needs, focusing on alignment, building strength, balance, and flexibility. Everyone is able to practice yoga; modifications are provided so students can experience a safe and fulfilling practice. Yoga is a lifestyle, it is a practice that supports your body and mind as we move through the phases of life.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yoga in Sewickley is a fully equipped studio. Most people bring their personal mat but mats are provided along with blocks, blankets, straps and bolsters. Weights are available for the Weight class and chairs for the Chair class.
Yes! We encourage all levels of yogis to attend our classes. With the use of props and experienced teachers modifications will be made to meet the needs of each student. If you have a specific issue or concern feel free to send a question to Sharon or call (412-616-9791).
Drop-In classes cost $20 per class. We also offer class packages and private lessons with different pricing. Please see our pricing page to learn more.
Wear comfortable clothes that you can easily move in and note that yoga is traditionally practiced in bare feet. It's beneficial to dress in layers as one can become warm during the practice but might like a warmer top for relaxation. Note the studio is NOT a heated practice. The temperature is kept at a comfortable level for all.
Everyone is different but it is not recommended to eat a full meal before practicing. A light snack but nothing more.
We are always open to hearing suggestions! Please contact the owner, Sharon, to discuss any suggestions or even learn about a similar class that might meet your needs. Also private instruction is available if something specific is required.
There is no need to pre-register. Arrive at class 10-15 min. early and the instructor will greet you.
Yoga in Sewickley offers a place where people can come together to practice their yoga. It is also a meeting place for friends to enjoy chatting and catching up with one another. Please try to arrive 5-10 min. early so you can prepare for your practice. Place shoes and purses in the cubbies or off to the side. Also I would like to ask everyone to place their phones/watches on silent and leave them in your purse. Doing yoga is a time to let go of technology and schedules. Leaving technology out of the practice space enables everyone to have a mindful practice. I appreciate your help and understanding.
